How to Survive Traveling!

Miss Mel and I are no stranger to traveling. We're also no stranger to the boredom that can come from traveling if you're not careful. That's why we decided to help you guys out with ideas on how to make the time go by quickly!

1. Family Jams: This is a term our friend, Raven, gave to the time when everyone in the car is singing along to music. Our friends love to be extremely obnoxious when it comes to singing in the car but that makes the trip all the more fun! *Our favorite jam to play is Taylor Swift, works every time!*

2. Reading a Book: A book, or audiobook, is a great way to pass the time. It's usually a single person activity unless you're reading aloud to everyone *don't do this without everyone from the car's permission or you might be left at the next break stop*.

3. Craft Time: I don't know why but whenever I'm going on a trip I always want to make friendship bracelets. This probably stems from when Miss Mel and I were tiny babies and would proceed to make a million bracelets in the car on the way to the lake.

4. Watch a Movie: So this one really isn't for the driver unless you want to get into a horrific car accident because Ryan Gosling took his shirt off and the driver got distracted. Besides that there are plenty of ways to watch a movie like putting them onto your iPod or iPad or even getting a portable DVD player *they're pretty cheap!*

5. Car Games: Use your surroundings to make a game! There's always I spy, 20 Questions or the License Plate Game. Our friend, Ellen, made us privy to the cow game. The rules are you spot a cow then you're the princess, the winner is the last person to see a cow gets to be the princess until your next trip! *have we mentioned car trips tend to make people delusional?*

6. Snacks and Caffeinated Beverages: These might be the most important things to have on your trip! Miss Mel and I have become hangry, hungry and angry, on occasion and no one is safe when this happens! Also drinks are necessary when you're getting tired behind the wheel and still have hours to go!

Hopefully your next trip will be more enjoyable and less dreadful with these tips in mind!

Can you make an airport edition for those of us who get stuck at the airport for 13 hours?

Also the cow game is great.
